Information we collect

• Details you give us through our enquiry form, by email or by phone: your name, company or business name, email address, telephone number, the type of funding you are interested in, the approximate amount and anything you tell us about your plans.
• If you proceed with an application, information needed by lenders and finance providers, which may include details about your business, its finances and its directors or owners.
• Records of our correspondence with you.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss your requirements.
• To explore suitable funding options and, with your agreement, introduce you to lenders, finance providers or appropriately authorised third parties, and support your application.
• To keep business records and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We rely on the following lawful bases: taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, and performing our agreement with you; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business; complying with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where needed to progress your requirement or run our business, including with: lenders and finance providers on our panel; appropriately authorised third parties where a requirement falls outside our services; our IT, email and website hosting providers; professional advisers; and authorities where the law requires it. Lenders and finance providers may carry out their own credit, identity and fraud-prevention checks and will give you their own privacy information.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not proceed, we keep your details for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. For clients, we keep records for up to six years after our relationship ends, to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. We then delete or anonymise them securely.

Where it is stored

Your information is generally stored in the UK. If any of our service providers process it outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Your rights

You have the right to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To use any of these rights, email info@elrosefinance.com.
